The Caledonian Hotel overlooks Ullapool harbour and the colourful fishing boats on Loch Broom. A quiet and friendly hotel with a welcoming atmosphere and pleasant gardens. Built early 1900s, the Caledonian is one of the oldest hotels in Ullapool. All guests have free access to Loch Broom Leisure Centre for the duration of their stay (subject to availability). Ullapool is the port for the Outer Hebrides and therefore good roads allow easy access to this spectacular highland location. On the west coast of Scotland, Ullapool benefits from the Gulf Stream, this is particularly in evidence at Inverewe Gardens where visitors can enjoy the many tropical and exotic shrubs and trees that grow there. Ullapool is the ideal location for exploring the west Highlands including Loch Maree, Lochnivar, Gairloch, and the Corrieshalloch Gorge. The capital of the Highlands, Inverness, is under 2 hours away providing ample opportunity for shopping trips.
